Round Towers

Glendalough

3rd and 4th class learned about Vikings and built round towers.We had two weeks to build them.There were seven groups.We put levels
in the and then put objects in them.After that we did a presentation for 2nd class.We really enjoyed it.  Emma




We have been learning about Vikings in our history,and we were split into seven groups to make round towers.We were given one week to make them.At the end of the week,we presented them to second class.Everyone said they were good,and we had lots of fun making them.  Anna











We have been learning 
about the Vikings in our History.After the lesson we were split into groups to make a round tower.This is where the the monks would go when Vikings attacked.Most groups used a Pringle box as their base.Others different cylinders as their base.In our group we cut down the middle of our base so you could see inside it.We all had a lot of fun making them.

Witch Faces

Third and fourth class made scary witch faces for Hallowe'en. 

Each witch is different. We cut out their faces, then we added hair, and a witch's hat. 

We made our witches look as scary and as ugly as we could. We added warts, scars and pimples to our witch faces. 

Here are some of them. What do you think? Aren't they ugly?

Sparkly Trees

Third and forth class did some art.

They did a back round in warm colours and trees in black.

Step one: Get some nice warm colours and paint them in lines.

Step two: Let it dry and paint a tree over it in black.

Step three:Do some decorations with sparkly glues as berries.

Our Nature Trail.

On Wednesday 3rd and 4th went for our nature trail.We were preparing  for it all  week.We saw lots of interesting things  on our nature trail.We saw some trees, wildflowers, ,hedgerows and fruit.We found some deciduous trees such as ash trees and sycamore trees and we saw evergreen trees such as spruce trees.We saw wildflowers such as fuschias and meadow sweet.We found lots of blackberries on our nature trail.We found a lot of mini-beasts.It was great fun learning about nature.Some people brought flowers  and leaves back.

All about data

Recently in school we have been learning about data.We have drawn pictograms,bar charts and
bar line graphs.We have all been writing questions and swapping copies and answering them on our own.To finish up with our data ,we did our own pie charts or block graphs on the laptops.We can represent data by using pictograms, blockgraphs, bar charts,and bar line graphs.We all enjoyed it.

Easter Rising 1916

The Easter Rising was a tragic time in Ireland.

But it did also help Ireland to get independence.

It all started when a few Irish men broke into the GPO.

The Irish men were caught by the English and were executed.
